Introduction
Department of Clinical Nutrition was established in 2002 as a self-finance course under the Department of Food & Nutrition, with the moto of “leadership and excellence in the field of health and nutrition’’ Clinical Nutrition stream was started as bachelor’s degree with the combination of Chemistry and Zoology for excellence in Nutrition field.

To promote optimal health and well -being through evidence -based nutritional practices, preventing and managing diseases while enhancing the quality of life across diverse populations.
Mission
The mission of the Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Department is:
- To advance the Science and application of nutrition by integrating research, education and clinical practice to address individual and community health needs with an emphasis on personalized dietary interventions.
- To provide competent graduates in clinical nutrition and dietetics with basic knowledge and practical skills using different education strategies to assess an individual's nutritional status and provide dietary consultations to all components of the community, whether healthy or unhealthy.
- To spread awareness of the relationship between nutrition and various diseases based on scientific studies.
- To use digital technology to improve the applied aspects of student learning and critical thinking.
Aims
- To understand the relationship between nutrition, metabolism, and health outcome.
- To develop and implement nutritional strategies for the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic diseases.
- To contribute to the reduction of nutrition -related illness through evidence -based intervention.
