Computer Science & Computer Application
are the two vocational courses run by the Department of Mathematics. The course
combinations are
- B.Sc. with Computer Application, Mathematics & Physics 1993
- B.Sc. with Computer Science, Mathematics & Physics. 2003
Computer Science & Computer Application are deeply integrated into almost every aspect of modern life, with a strong focus on emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), big data analytics, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and blockchain, leading to high demand for skilled professionals in these fields across various industries; this includes developing software for self-driving cars, secure banking systems, and advanced healthcare applications, making computer science a rapidly evolving and crucial part of our society.
Computer science
Focuses on the development and testing of software and software systems. It involves working with mathematical models, data analysis and security, algorithms, and computational theory. Computer scientists define the computational principles that are the basis of all software.
Computer Application
Encompasses the study and application of computer technology to solve practical problems and meet the needs of individuals, businesses, and organizations. It covers a wide range of areas including software development, database management, network administration, web development, mobile application development, and cyber security.
VISION
To develop the department of computers as one of the best centers of excellence in terms of teaching, research and other relevant activities.
